The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Roblox (RBLX)

Roblox (RBLX), one of the most volatile stocks I’ve ever been involved with, blew the doors off the joint with ana amazing earnings report this week. As a result, the stock popped +10.11% and earned itself the spot of the Biggest Winner.

Canopy Growth (CGC)

There is still absolutely no good news on the horizon for the cannabis space, so particularly beaten-up companies like Canopy Growth Corporation (CGC) did not make it through the week unscathed.

Canopy Growth got walloped to the tune of -17.04%, easily putting in the spot of the Week’s Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

Rivian (RIVN): Added to Position

Despite reporting decent earnings and announcing they’ve dramatically reduced how much they lose per vehicle (the goal of an initial EV startup is to ramp volume and improve manufacturing in order to make profits), Rivian (RIVN) sold off substantially on news that it would have to issue more equity to give itself additional runway to profitability.

On Thursday, Rivian fell through my next buy order which added 3.10% to my position and filled at $15.45. The buy lowered my per-share cost -3.02% down from $29.80 to $28.90. From here, my next buy target is $13.60, above a past point of support seen earlier in 2023. My next sell target is slightly above my cost basis at $29.15.

RIVN closed the week at $15.40, down -0.32% from where I added Thursday.

See you next week!
