The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Golden Minerals (AUMN)

It’s like they say, “a golden tide lifts all boats.” Wait. Maybe no one says that…

Regardless, gold’s relentless rally continued this week and lifted goldminers large and small with it including my teeny-tiny, super-speculative junior goldminer, Golden Minerals (AUMN).

AUMN popped +12.57% this week, earning itself a golden shower as the Week’s Biggest Winner (okay, okay I’ll stop…).

Short SPY ETF (SPXU)

As long as stocks keep rallying, the inverse ETFs will keep selling off (naturally). That trend continued this week with the Proshares UltraPro Short SPY ETF (SPXU) selling off to the tune of -2.21%, earning the spot of the Week’s Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

S&P 500 Short ETF (SPXU): Added to Position

When the markets rallied on Thursday, the ProShares UltraPro Short SPY ETF (SPXU) naturally went the opposite direction, triggering my next buy order which filled at $13.24.

The buy lowered my per-share cost -3.47% from $14.40 to $13.90. From here, my next buy target is $12.57, slightly above a past point of support, and my next sell target is $16.29, slightly below a past point of resistance.

SPXU closed the week at $13.25, up +0.08% from where I added Thursday.
