The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Danimer Scientific (DNMR)

Danimer Scientific (DNMR) continued to ride high once again this week on the back of news that its new factory would help it to reduce costs and that the company has reduced the amount of money it’s losing… slightly. DNMR popped another +17.97%, giving it its third Week’s Biggest Winner in a row – quite a feat for this stinker.

Virgin Galactic (SPCE)

After its spinoff sister company, Virgin Orbit (VORB), more or less closed its doors permanently last week, Virgin Galactic (SPCE) was on the receiving end of the selloff this week, dropping -22.22% and easily sneaking in as the Week’s Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

Virgin Galactic (SPCE): Added to Position

After Virgin Galactic’s (SPCE) spinoff, Virgin Orbit (VORB), declared it had run out of funding and would shut down indefinitely last week, it appeared as though SPCE was in the clear as it started to rally. Well, that all changed this week.

Virgin Galactic broke down all week this week, crashing to new all-time lows starting on Wednesday. On Thursday, SPCE continued to descend and triggered my next buy order which filled at $3.00.

The buy locked in an out-of-this-world (sorry) -92.57% discount replacing some of the shares I sold for $40.36 way back on January 26, 2021, and increased my per-share “cost” +$0.60 from -$3.60 to -$3.00 (a negative per-share cost indicates all capital has been removed in addition to $3.00 per share added to the portfolio’s bottom line in addition to each share’s current value).

From here, my next buy target is $2.40, a price calculated using Fibonacci Method, and my next sell target is $27.00, a previous point of resistance.

SPCE closed the week at $3.15, up +5.00% from where I added Thursday.
