The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

DraftKings (DKNG)

DraftKings (DKNG) reported great revenue generation exceeding analyst expectations in its quarterly report this week, causing the stock to pop +12.09% in very shaky market conditions. As a result, DKNG was the Week’s Biggest Winner.

Lyft (LYFT)

Lyft’s (LYFT) brand-new CEO did not impress during this week’s quarterly earnings report. Not only did revenue come in lighter than analysts had hoped for, the new CEO doubled-down on growth-over-profits, not exactly what investors are looking for in an environment where credit is tightening. As a result, LYFT dropped -15.80% for the week, easily parking in the spot for the Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

Short SPY ETF (SPXU): Profit-Taking

The selloff in the S&P 500 this week flipped my short position in the ProShares UltraShort SPY ETF (SPXU) into profit and triggered my first sell order which filled on Thursday at $14.15, locking in +7.93% in gains on shares I bought for $13.11 on April 28, 2023 and lowering my per-share cost -0.36% from $13.80 to $13.75.

From here, my next sell target is $15.55, slightly under a past point of resistance, and my next buy target is $12.55, slightly above a past point of support.

SPXU closed the week at $13.26, down -6.29% from where I took profits.

U.S. Natural Gas (UNG): Added to Position

The U.S. Natural Gas Fund (UNG) drilled down to new depths on Wednesday, triggering my next buy order which filled at $6.25. The buy locked in a -36.42% discount on shares I sold for $9.83 on March 3 and lowered my per-share cost -2.94% from $8.50 to $8.25.

From here, my next buy target is $5.25, a price calculated using the Fibonacci Method, and my next sell target is $8.65, slightly under a key point of resistance UNG has seen in the past.

UNG closed the week at $6.17, down -1.28% from where I added Wednesday.
