The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Advanced Micro (AMD)

Advanced Micro (AMD) released news about some of their upcoming products and projects, and everyone’s pants were blown off (don’t Google the pictures… no one survives seeing anything so pasty white as nerds’ bare legs). As a result, AMD popped +3.95% and, surprisingly, earned itself the spot of the Week’s Biggest Winner.

Danimer Sci (DNMR)

Whatever bad news everyone forgot about last week to cause Danimer Scientific (DNMR) to win the week was remembered this week as DNMR gave back pretty much all of its gains, dropping -14.92% and earning itself the spot of the Week’s Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

Sometimes, volatility is a “nothing burger”

If you paid attention to the market’s wild fluctuations this week, you would have seen a lot of action, however, if you only checked in last Friday and then waited until this Friday, the market looked like a whole lot of nothing happened.

As a result, there wasn’t much to do for the Speculation in Play portfolio this week. All of my positions stayed within ranges where they were too low to make profit-taking worthwhile and too high to add to them. No worries, gave me more time to try and catch up on the myriad of streaming TV I’ve been missing out on.

Turns out… there really wasn’t anything worth watching on TV, either… sigh.
