The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Danimer Sci. (DNMR)

Danimer Scientific (DNMR) reported a quarter that wasn’t absolutely catastrophic, and, in this market, that makes you the darling, causing the stock to pop +13.30% in an otherwise terrible market. Don’t get too excited, though, because DNMR is still down an absolutely shocking -48.00% Year-to-Date. Despite that, DNMR did earn itself the spot of the Week’s Biggest Winner.

Tradeweb Markets (TW)

Tradeweb Markets (TW) positively blew up following a disastrous earnings quarter where they missed on every metric and gave terrible forward guidance. The result? A drop of -10.21% on the week and an easy win (or is that lose?) of the spot of the Week’s Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

GrowGeneration (GRWG): Added to Position

GrowGeneration (GRWG) collapsed with the rest of the cannabis sector on Friday, triggering a buy order of mine that filled at $5.70 as it headed south. The buy lowered my per-share cost -4.92% from $18.30 to $17.40.

From here, my next buy target is $4.20, above a past point of support (and not an intended cannabis pun, I swear), and my next sell target is $19.35, below a past point of resistance.

GRWG closed the week at $5.76, up +1.05% from where I added Friday.

Palantir Technologies (PLTR): Added to Position

Palantir Technologies (PLTR) broke below the $10.00 mark again on Friday as the market sold off all things speculative, triggering a buy order of mine that filled at $9.85, lowering my per-share cost -5.69% from $20.20 to $19.05.

From here, my next buy target is $8.05, a price calculated using the Fibonacci Method, and my next sell target is $20.65, just below a past point of significant resistance.

PLTR closed the week at $9.48, down -3.76% from where I added Friday.

Virgin Galactic (SPCE): Added to Position

Virgin Galactic (SPCE) reported a decent quarter, beating estimates by reporting a smaller loss than expected, but in this market, any loss is unacceptable, so SPCE continued to get slammed on Friday, triggering a buy order that filled at $6.70.

The buy locked in a whopping -87.98% discount on some of the shares I sold for $55.74 back on June 25, 2021 and raised my per-share “cost” +$1.77 from -$7.42 to $5.65 (a negative per-share cost indicates all capital has been taken out of the position in addition to $5.65 of profit per-share which is added to the portfolio’s bottom line).

From here, my next buy target for SPCE is $4.70, a price calculated using the Fibonacci Method, and my next sell target is $42.30, just under a past point of significant resistance.

SPCE closed the week at $6.80, up +1.49% from where I added Friday.

Wendy’s (WEN): Added to Position

Wendy’s (WEN) broke down with the rest of the market on Thursday, finally dipping below $19.00 and triggering a buy order I had in place which filled at $18.84, and lowered my per-share cost -2.95% from $24.73 to $24.00.

From here, my next buy target is $14.90, above a past point of support, and my next sell target is $24.36, just under Wendy’s last bull rally.

WEN closed the week at $18.43, down -2.18% from where I added Thursday.
