The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL)

Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) and the rest of the travel sector really turned it around this week, when Dr. Anthony Facui and other medical experts spoke of the potential that the COVID-19 omicron variant may be a blessing in disguise.

CCL popped a pretty substantial +12.09% on reopening possibilities, locking itself in for the Biggest Winner of the Week spot.

Advanced Micro (AMD)

Investors started rotating out of growth stocks into value stocks including the travel & hospitality sector, so the high-flying semiconductor space, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) included, really took it on the chin. AMD dropped a total of -3.79% this week, sliding in as the Week’s Biggest Loser.

This Week’s Moves

Golden Minerals (AUMN): Added to Position

Golden Minerals (AUMN), my one remaining super-spec commodities play, got hit hard on Monday when the precious metals starting selling off once more. AUMN triggered a buy order I had in place at $0.3287 which lowered my per-share cost -4.94% from $0.4675 to $0.4444.

From here, my next buy target is $0.2159, above a past point of support, and my sell target is $0.9804, below the high from its last bull rally, where I will pull all remaining capital out of the position.

AUMN closed the week at $0.3628, up +10.37% from where I added Monday.

GrowGeneration (GRWG): Added to Position

The cannabis meltdown continued this week with GrowGeneration’s (GRWG) ongoing selloff seemingly never ending. On Monday, GRWG triggered a buy order I had at $14.70, lowering my per-share cost -5.29% from $25.50 to $24.15.

From here, my next buy target is $11.55, above a past point of support, and I plan to start taking profits at $32.20, just below a past point of resistance.

GRWG closed the week at $14.76, up +0.41% from where I added Monday.
