This Week’s Moves

Fabled Gold & Silver (FBSGF): Added to Position

Despite a bounce in the precious metals commodities, the highly-speculative penny-stock speculative plays in the portfolio got hit hard this week with Fabled Gold & Silver (FBSGF) triggering a buy order on Friday which filled at $0.0715.

The order lowered my per-share cost -6.24% from $0.0945 to $0.886. From here, my next buy target (which I determined using Fibonacci Retracement since FBSGF just broke its all-time low of $0.0720) is $0.0567 and my next sell target is $0.5864, just beneath its $0.6000 all-time high.

REMINDER: Fabled Gold & Silver (FBSGF) is one of three highly speculative penny-stock commodities plays in the Speculation in Play portfolio. All three are incredibly volatile and I expect all three to go to zero in value. Because of this, I am allocating a tiny amount of money to them – no more than I’d consider losing on lottery tickets… because that’s what they are. I’m playing with them just to demonstrate how insane penny-stocks are and I do not advise anyone buy them for any reason.

FBSGF closed the week at $0.0764, up +6.85% from where I added Friday.

Golden Minerals Co (AUMN): Added to Position

Just like Fabled Gold & Silver (FBSGF) above, Golden Minerals Co. (AUMN) continued to come under selling pressure this week, triggering a buy order on Thursday which filled at $0.4170. The order lowered my per-share cost -4.94% from $0.498 to $0.4734. From here, my next buy target is much lower at $0.2113 and my next sell target is much higher at $0.99 (its all-time high is $1.30).

AUMN closed the week at $0.4221, up +1.22% from where I added Thursday.

Pinterest (PINS): Added to Position

Pinterest (PINS) has come under a significant amount of selling pressure over the past six months, dropping more than -50% from its all-time high of $89.90  set earlier in 2021 down to a low of $43.60 earlier this week, so I decided to take a chance on Thursday – before it reported earnings after the market closed – and replaced shares I sold on October 23, 2020 at $51.90 for a -14.20% discount down at $44.53.

The buy raised my per-share cost +$13.04 from -$33.69 to -$20.65 (a negative per-share price means no capital remains in the position and each share adds $20.65 to my portfolio’s bottom line in addition to its share value). From here, my next buy target is at a much lower point of support at $32.20 and my next sell target is near a past point of resistance at $81.10.

PINS closed the week at $46.22, up +3.80% from where I added Thursday.
