The Week’s Biggest Winner & Loser

Nike (NKE)

As everyone rotates out of the technology sector, Nike (NKE) finds itself in the sweet spot of being a consumer discretionary play, a direct-to-consumer innovation play, and a global recovery play. In a week which was a sea of red, Nike finished up +4.98% and earned itself the spot of the week’s Biggest Winner.

Tesla (TSLA)

After being snubbed by the S&P 500, Tesla’s (TSLA) volatility took the brunt of the rotation out of tech and finished the week down -10.00% to earn itself the spot of the week’s Biggest Loser. Given that the stock was down almost nearly -25% at one point, this kinda of loss can almost be chalked up as a “win.”

This Week’s Moves

Dow Chemical (DOW): Profit-Taking

Dow Chemical (DOW) held up early in the week as the market selloff target technology stocks, not industrials and other cyclicals. On Wednesday, Dow popped when the rest of the market bounced, triggering a sell order I had in place at $49.47.

The sale locked in +62.62% in gains on a few of the shares I bought on March 10 for $30.42. It also lowered my per-share cost -0.39% from $38.95 to $38.80. My next sell target for the stock is $52.30 and my next buy target is $22.90.

DOW closed the week at $49.85, up +0.77% from where I sold Wednesday.
